About course
11085NAT Course in Supporting Positive Mental Health in the Construction Industry is a nationally recognised course. Training is delivered face-to-face over 4 hours. This course is designed to provide all workers in the construction industry with the knowledge and skills to develop personal positive mental health, support other workers and support the workplace to manage psychosocial hazards:
> support positive metal health in the workplace through engagement and discussion with supervisors and work colleagues;
> accept and apply personal workplace responsibilities to support positive mental health;
> develop personal positive mental health through self-awareness and the application of selfcare strategies;
> identify and take action to address possible workplace practices that contribute to mental health illness of work colleagues;
> support work colleagues develop their positive mental health through identifying and acting
on warning signs;
> support the workplace to manage psychosocial hazards at work to support positive mental health;
> engage in site discussions to raise awareness of and destigmatise mental illness; and
> contribute to site strategies to manage psychosocial risk.
